NANGTUD–MADJAAS 100K
THE PINNACLE OF PANAY
This Araw ng Kalayaan, IRAYA proudly embarks on a journey that celebrates the enduring Filipino spirit of courage, resilience, and freedom.
On June 11–12, 2026, a small team of trail runners and mountaineers will attempt to connect the two highest mountains of Panay Island—Mount Nangtud and Mount Madjaas—in a single continuous expedition.
Covering approximately 100 kilometers and more than 6,000 meters of elevation gain, the route will traverse rugged mountain trails, remote upland communities, river crossings, and coastal roads across the province of Antique.
More than an endurance challenge, this expedition is a tribute to the pioneers, local guides, and mountain communities whose passion and determination opened these paths for future generations. It is a celebration of the freedom to explore, to dream, and to push beyond our perceived limits.
As we commemorate Philippine Independence Day, we honor not only the heroes who fought for our nation's freedom, but also the spirit of courage that continues to inspire Filipinos to pursue extraordinary journeys and conquer new frontiers.
For IRAYA, the Nangtud–Madjaas 100K is more than a personal challenge—it is a showcase of Antique’s world-class landscapes and a testament to the province’s growing potential as a destination for trail running, mountaineering, hiking, and sports tourism.
Join us as we document every step of this historic journey—from the midnight start beneath Mount Nangtud to the final ascent of Mount Madjaas.
100 Kilometers.
Two Giants.
