Market Gardeners is a team originally made up out of the men from Rock City Rollers (Eindhoven), Roadkill Rollers (Nijmegen) and Arnhem Fallen Angels (Arnhem). Our Sunday practices however are open to all bout-ready players and are a great chance to meet and train with derby players from different leagues all over the Netherlands and share drills and skills. Which made our team grow and expand and

we now have people traveling from all over the Netherlands - from Groningen in the north to Heerlen in the south - to join our practices.

Next weekend we will be visiting the Copenhagen Ladybugs again for this years Swarming Se7ens Roller Derby Tournament 8.th installment !

We will of course have our Ladybugs mugs with us for free coffee and we even have some merchandise this year!

On Sunday there were try-outs for the training team for the Men's Roller Derby World Cup which will be held in Orleans (FR) in May 2026. We had a great time and showed our best moves (we hope). Eight of our skaters took part in the try-outs and we all got a spot on the training squad!

Sunday we had our last practice of this year, with a festive team dinner afterwards!

Our team has grown a lot in the past year, both in number of skaters and in how we play together. On to 2025! We start again on the 5th of January and play our first game of 2025 on the 19th of January 🎉
