Official page about Rugby Club 't Gooi Founded in 1933 Rugby Club 't Gooi is one of the oldest Dutch Rugby Clubs. The 2nd XV is in the First Division.

Being one of the founding fathers in the Netherlands, the club safe-guards the rugby tradition in Holland. With pure rugby running through its vains 't Gooi is active on the highest level. The 1st XV plays in the Premier Division winning the title in 2009 and 2013. Older players and young seniors play in the 3rd & 4th XV's. Rugby Club 't Gooi has hundreds of active players between 4 and 88 years

old. RC 't Gooi takes pride in its Rugby and has a strong coaching and training staff. Many of its players are selected for the Dutch National team. RC 't Gooi tradiotionally welcomes expatriats from all over the world. Rugby Club 't Gooi also takes pride in its tradition of being a great social club, a place rugbyers want to be. Our finnish style club-house adds to the atmosphere. Come and visit us. Many members and players form old rugby countries contribute to the all out rugby atmosphere that is charaterising the club.

The 23-year-old Luxembourg international joins us from Hornets RFC, bringing international experience to Naarden.

📣 Welcome Abraão and Rodrigo! 🇵🇹

A Portuguese double signing, both arriving from Agronomia Rugby in Lisbon’s Top 12. Prop Abraão Ambrósio adds power to our front row, and winger Rodrigo Castanheira (26) brings international experience from the Hong Kong Premiership with HKU Sandy Bay.

Two fun facts: Abraão actually started out as a winger and even trained with the Portuguese Sevens team before finding his home in the front row. And Rodrigo was born in Macau one day before it was returned to China, making him one of the very last Portuguese born in the Portuguese empire. 🌍

📣 Season Opener! 🦁

Saturday September 5th, we kick off season 26/27 the way it should be: with the whole club. Youth training with the first team, the presentation of our new squad, a meet & greet, BBQ, and matches all afternoon, capped off by the first team taking on Ascrum at 15:00.

After years of dedication to our club, Gareth Gilbert is off on a new adventure as Director of Rugby at Pretoria Boys High School. Before he goes, we’re giving him the send-off he deserves.

The 19-year-old tight-head prop swaps Wellington for Naarden. Noah came through the Wellington U18 Centurions and U19 Wellington, and last played for the Hutt Old Boys Marist prem side.

The road from Breda leads to Naarden this season, and it brings us a triple signing.

Luca Kanz (21) developed his game in France with two seasons at Aurillac and is ready for a new adventure. Igor Hadinegoro (20) is a versatile talent who covers 9, 10 and 15. And Tony Mol (36) arrives with years of BRC experience and one clear mission: leave everything on the pitch, every single week.
