Quentin Prugnieres eighth in Spanish Grand Prix
Quentin Prugnieres of F&H Racing finished eighth in the final round of the MX2 World Championship in Cozar, Spain. Prugnieres rode two strong motos in which he managed to finish tenth and seventh.
The Cozar circuit was new on the world championship calendar. It was a track with a hard surface with a lot of loose stones on top. On Saturday, Prugnieres had a strong performance. He had a good feeling on the track and managed to set an eighth fastest time in time practice. He followed up with a strong performance in the qualifying heat. He got a very good start and was able to start the race in the leading group. In the early stages, he was in second place but then fell back to fourth place. He managed to hold his own and qualified fourth for the race.
Prugnieres also left a strong impression in the first moto. He came out of the first lap in sixth place and managed to take over fifth place after a few laps. Prugnieres had the connection with the riders in front of him and kept the pace high. Unfortunately, he made a mistake in the heat of the battle and lost many places as a result. Slightly disappointed, he crossed the finish line in tenth place.
In the second moto his start was not so good and he had to get back to the front from around tenth place. He managed to pass several riders and after a strong second part of the race he crossed the finish line in seventh place.
Prugnieres finished eighth overall and thirteenth in the final standings of the world championship.

Quentin Prugnieres achtste in Grand Prix van Spanje
Quentin Prugnieres van F&H Racing is in de laatste wedstrijd van het wereldkampioenschap MX2 in het Spaanse Cozar achtste geworden. Prugnieres reed twee sterke manches waarin hij tiende en zevende wist te worden.
Het circuit van Cozar was nieuw op de kalender van het wereldkampioenschap. Het was een baan met een harde ondergrond met veel losse stenen daar bovenop. Op zaterdag kwam Prugnieres sterk voor de dag. Hij had een goed gevoel op de baan en wist in de tijdtraining al een achtste tijd neer te zetten. Hij vervolgde met een sterk optreden in de kwalificatieheat. Hij pakte een hele goede start en kon in de kopgroep aan de wedstrijd beginnen. In de beginfase reed hij op een tweede plaats maar viel daarna terug naar een vierde plaats. Hierop wist hij goed stand te houden en kwalificeerde zich als vierde voor de wedstrijd.
Ook in de eerste manche liet Prugnieres een sterke indruk achter. Op een zesde plaats kwam hij uit de eerste ronde en wist na een aantal ronden de vijfde plaats over te nemen. Prugnieres had de aansluiting met de rijders voor hem en hield het tempo hoog. Helaas ging hij in het heetst van de strijd even in de fout en verloor daardoor vele plaatsen. Lichtelijk teleurgesteld kwam hij op een tiende plaats over de finish.
In de tweede manche was zijn start minder goed en moest hij van rond de tiende plaats terug naar voren zien te komen. Hij wist verschillende rijders te passeren en na een sterk tweede deel van de wedstrijd kwam hij op een zevende plaats over de finish.
In het dagklassement eindigde Prugnieres achtste en in de eindstand van het wereldkampioenschap is hij dertiende geworden.
