Last Saturday, quite a rare result at the DMTRA Winterseries in Medemblik. Five teams, including us with Anne, Quinten and Reinoud, were on the top of the leaderboard tangled in an unbreakable tie! Five winners, how cool is that!

Last Sunday, it was a beautiful but slow day at the Zuidkolk in Delft. Hard conditions with little wind and a lot of shifts. Anne, accompanied by Sipke and Jess, managed to sail to the first place in the Slag om Delft hosted by DSWZ Broach.

Last Sunday there was even less wind than on Saturday. So unfortunately, no matches were sailed that day. The boys thus stayed on the 4th place overall in the Cooling Down Series. Next Sunday, the first stage of the winterseries will take place at the same venue. Thanks Lianne Dagelet for the photo!

At the last day of the Dutch nationals we finished the second round robin with 4 wins out of 5 matches. Unfortunately we couldn't keep the good vibe in the finals. In the semi-final Jelmer van Beek won in 3 matches and we lost the petit final to Lorenz Mueller from switzerland. Fourth place overall.
Thanks to DMTRA and Delta Lloyd for the organization!

Today, we had some difficult racing, as expected. Of the last three races of the first round robin, we lost two. Still, with 7 wins out of 9 races, we did a good job there. In the first four races of the second round robin, the team sits on 2 wins and 2 losses and is still aiming to be top four.

After a long time with no sailing with the team, Anne, Quinten and Sander got together for an evening of training on the Braassemmermeer last wednesday.
This weekend they're sailing the Open Dutch Championship Matchracing in Medemblik. The boys are the fifth ranked team on the entry list. They're aiming for a decent performance in the top half of the results.
The first day went a lot better than expected. After several tight matches in a nice breeze, the team sits on six wins after six races. Tomorrow will be a difficult day of sailing because the wind is predicted to drop. Stay tuned!

This weekend Anne, Reinoud and Sander sailed de DMTRA winterseries. With steady building wind and waves the guys felt like fishes in the water. We only lost 1 match in the round robin due to a broken joystick and finished the round robin on top of the board.
The winner of the match versus Robert-Jan and his team would determine the winner of the day in the final. RJ gave us a hard time, however we managed to come round the top mark in first position twice. In the last downwind towards the finish we made a small mistake and kind of looked like the picture shows... Robert-Jan took advantage and finished first, therefore he is the deserved winner of the day. Congratulations!

Yesterday, Anne, Quinten and Sander sailed the first race of 2016. In Medemblik, the fourth event of the DMTRA Winterseries was held in a southerly 4-5 bft breeze. The team picked up racing with two wins, but struggled with some boathandling in the third race for the first loss of the year.

Eventually, with three wins and two losses, we ranked 4th after the Round Robin. In the king of the castle series, the team managed to end this event on third place.
