What a week!
The championship kicked off with no racing on Day 1 due to a lack of wind. Day 2 finally brought enough breeze, allowing us to complete four races. Unfortunately, Day 3 was another no-race day because the wind disappeared again. Luckily, the final two days delivered the famous Breva with perfect sailing conditions. Combined with the Italian heat, it made for a challenging but unforgettable week. ☀️🌬️
Considering we’ve only recently started sailing this boat, we’re incredibly proud of what we achieved: 13th place in the Silver Fleet. 💪
This week was about much more than the results. We learned a lot about our new boat, developed as a team, and got to know the Dutch F18 squad much better. Racing at our first European Championship together has given us valuable experience and even more motivation for the rest of the season.
