Welcome to the official UM Cheerleading page! Currently, there are two team who compete in different competitions.

The Maastricht University Cheerleading team was established in 2012 as a UM School of Business and Economics student team. Since then, we have developed into an enthusiastic, full-fledged cheerleading team participating annually in various competitions, comprised of students from various faculties of Maastricht University and Hogeschool Zuyd. Our Smoed team does university competitions and some other 'real' cheerleading competitions. The Coed team competes at national and international competitions such as Dutch Nationals, Europeans and Elite Cheerleading Championships.

They are our Level 4 Co-Ed team, our highest competitive level, where elite skill, high-flying intensity, and pure passion hit the mat!

If you have a background in cheer, gymnastics, or athletics and a drive to compete, Legends is looking for coachable, versatile athletes ready to level up. From stable extended stunts and high-flying baskets to cool tumbling and solid handstands, we focus on clean technique, safety, and pushing boundaries together.

More than just a top-tier competitive squad, Legends is your escape from university stress. Through themed practices, team events, and a strong support network, we build championship routines alongside crucial soft skills like leadership, teamwork, and accountability.
