Personal Dance Trainer Tango | Dance | Wedding | Show | Workshop. Express your soul through movements. TANGO SHOWS
When we dance, we infuse our soul into our dancing.

Nothing else exists but the here and now. Idea Tango shows are characterised by the depth and intensity of the music and the vibrating energy of the tango embrace. Our emotions become perceivable during the tango performance and captivate the audience. Whether you are you organising a wedding, a festival, a party or any other event, we can spice it up with some Argentine Tango entertainment! TANGO

LESSONS & WORKSHOPS
When we teach, we take our students by their hand and accompany them on a voyage through their own emotions. An inspiring, energising, step-by-step journey that makes them feel more confident, accomplished and able to express their soul through their dance. At Idea Tango we give tango private lessons in Leiden, tango lessons online, tango workshops and weekly group tango courses in Leiden and Den Haag. TANGO VACATIONS
Idea Tango organises tango vacations in Italy. Our tango vacation in Rome, in October, is the perfect occasion to visit a unique town that you must see at least once in a lifetime. Among all the tango vacations in Europe, a tango vacation in Italy is certainly without equal if you would like to combine tango with art, culture, history, fashion, delicious food and the "dolce vita" lifestyle.

🚨 Comment “END” to receive my mini-course on tango endings.

⚠️This offer is available exclusively through this post and is not accessible elsewhere.⚠️

One of the biggest musicality traps in tango:
👉🏻you think the orchestra is giving you a beautiful CHAN CHAN ending, so you prepare two movements….
🫣But then it’s just CHAN!

💃🕺As dancers, we do not only interpret the music, we also make predictions about what is coming next.

📌Endings are often the moment your partner remembers most.
🎶 Make them flawless!

👗 My dress another amazing creation of ❤️

To flawless tango endings 🥂

🔥Share with a tango dancer who feels stuck in their tango journey. 💚

Most tango classes focus on teaching sequences:
a new combination, a new set of steps, every class.

👉🏻But your dance is shaped by the same movement patterns — and often the same recurring mistakes.

🚨 Especially if you’re an experienced dancer, you probably don’t need another sequence.

💚 You need to become more tango effective.

This is the foundation of my teaching.
💠 I help dancers develop deeper awareness of their body, movement, connection, and musicality.

🌀Because recurring mistakes are rarely isolated mistakes. They are usually symptoms of deeper movement habits.
When you change the habit, the dance changes.

Do you ever feel wobbly in tango…even after years of dancing?

Maybe:
🔅your pivots feel inconsistent,
🔅your axis collapses in fast movements,
🔅your standing leg gets tired quickly,
🔅or balance changes depending on your partner.

Most dancers think they simply need more practice.

👉🏻 But in reality, balance problems often come from something much deeper:
🌺 how your body organises posture, weight, alignment, and force.

🔥 That’s why I created a FREE:
“Tango Balance Self-Test”

Inside, you’ll discover:
✅ how to identify your weakest link
✅ one simple exercise to improve stability immediately
✅ what to watch out for during your next practice

📝 Comment “TEST” and I’ll send it to you. 🎁

Because better tango doesn’t start with more steps.
It starts with a stronger foundation.

Right! You have invited / you have been invited by someone to dance.
You approach the dance floor and think “How will it feel?”

⚛️ Chemistry matters of course, but there are other details that determine the first impression.

Obviously being polite and minding your personal hygiene are underline conditions.
🌟 Besides that, for me every great dance begins with this 3-step approach:

1️⃣ Connect to yourself
2️⃣ Connect to your partner
3️⃣ Connect to the music

💠 Connect to yourself -> Before connecting to another person, arrive in your own body.
Pause. Stop talking. Listen to the music.
Stand in front of your partner without rushing into the embrace and settle into your posture.
This prepares both body and mind for the dance.

💠 Connect to your partner -> Create an embrace and body position that feels welcoming and comfortable for both of you.
Tune your embrace and body energy to the emotion of the tango song.

💠 Connect to the music -> The listening already began in step one. Now let the movement respond to the music.
Transfer your weight, relax the free leg, breathe and allow small embellishments to emerge naturally while waiting for the next “1”.

‘Just feel the music’ sounds beautiful… but for most tango dancers it’s useless. 🤷🏻‍♀️

🔅Because musicality is not only about sensitivity. It’s also about recognition.

If you cannot identify:
🔹rhythm
🔹melody
🔹syncopations
🔹phrasing
🔹accents
🔹pauses

then responding with your movement becomes guesswork.

I believe tango musicality can be taught, like a language.

❇️ First, you learn to hear the elements of the music.

✅ Then, you learn how different sounds create different movement qualities, energies, dynamics, and intentions in the body.

❎ And this regardless of the steps you make

👉🏻 That’s when musicality stops being abstract and starts becoming embodied.

💬 If this resonates, comment MUSICALITY and I’ll share the details of my online musicality course with you.

One of the biggest fears tango followers have is:
“Am I too heavy?” 🛘🙀

So they try to avoid leaning… and suddenly the embrace loses all connection. 🪽

🗝️ Here’s the key:

Connection does NOT come from collapsing your weight onto your partner.
It comes from:
🔹awareness of your own axis
🔹grounded balance
🔹intentional pressure in the embrace

You can be fully supported by yourself AND still create a deep connection.

And interestingly enough, being slightly “late” in the follow creates a much more alive embrace than trying to react instantly. 😉

The better your balance, the softer and more connected your tango feels ✨

🎥 If you want to improve your axis, stability, and posture, 👉🏻 comment BALANCE

👗 thank you for my lovely, stylish and very comfortable tango dress ❤️

Enjoy your tango connection 💫

Ever felt your pivots heavy 🛘 and wondered…how do some dancers make them look so effortless? 🤔

📌 Save this for your next practice!

The saboteurs of your pivots are:
🚫 axis misalignments and
🚫 incorrect dissociation

Is your elbow going behind your shoulder when dissociating? 👉🏻 lateral muscles not activated and not connected to the abs 👉🏻 result: lots more effort to achieve the same result!

💃 Follow for more tango technique tips!

Un abrazo 💫
