Here are some additional images we created for our proposal of a Lancia Thesis Coupé, commissioned by one of our clients and a passionate Lancia enthusiast. The project explored a simple question:

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘱é 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵𝘴 2002–2008 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘥𝘢𝘯, 𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘭𝘶𝘹𝘶𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳-𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵?

Based on the 3.2 V6 24V sedan, we gave the car a sportier front end with a wider grille, subtly raked the windscreen, and drew inspiration from the iconic Lancia Aurelia for the rear section. The rear window design itself takes cues from Lancia’s signature grille, creating a distinctive visual connection to the brand’s rich heritage.

Although the project never progressed beyond a 3D computer model and a series of 3D-printed scale models, it remains an exciting design study. We would love to see this unique creation brought to life one day and cruising the roads in the hands of a true Lancia enthusiast.

What if Lancia had built a coupé version of its 2002–2008 Thesis sedan, as it had done with many of its luxury four-door models in the past? One of our clients, a passionate Lancia enthusiast, posed exactly that question and asked us to design a one-off Lancia Thesis Coupé.

Based on the 3.2 V6 24V sedan, we gave the car a sportier front end with a wider grille, subtly raked the windscreen, and drew inspiration from the iconic Lancia Aurelia for the rear section. Born from the golden era of the Motor Torpedo Boat, the Breedendam MTB stands apart as a vessel where wartime elegance meets modern seamanship.

Stretching to 19.60 metres, the MTB Sixzero Flybridge carries unmistakable retro lines, reimagined by Guido de Groot Design with a fresh and contemporary touch, both inside and out. She is scheduled for delivery to her owner in Australia next month.

LALABE, the 35-metre yacht built by Van der Valk Shipyard, has been nominated as a finalist in the BOAT International World Superyacht Awards 2026, in the category of Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts – 35m to 39.9m.

This nomination follows a triumphant weekend at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards in Kitzbühel, where LALABE was honoured with awards for both Outstanding Exterior Design and Outstanding Interior Design.

The awards ceremony will take place on 1–2 May 2026 in Venice, Italy.

We are proud to announce that the 35-metre LALABE, built by Van der Valk Shipyard, has been honoured with an award for 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 and an award for 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards in Kitzbühel last night.

Designed inside out by our design studio, LALABE represents the pinnacle of boutique yachtbuilding, successfully meeting an ambitious brief that combined voluminous interiors with extensive outdoor areas, accommodation for owners plus 10 guests, crew quarters for eight permanent crew, and a semi-displacement hull with transatlantic range—all within just 35 metres.

The new Mulder Favorite 2000 will have her world premiere at the boot Düsseldorf boat show. She is one of our latest new designs for the Mulder Shipyard in the Netherlands and is part of their popular Favorite yacht series. Construction has started at the Van der Valk Shipyard of a 30-metre custom aluminium yacht designed inside out by Guido de Groot Design called “Project Berlin”.

This modern raised pilothouse yacht, which features purposeful and dynamic lines, offers the space and comfort of a larger superyacht while staying under the 24-metre regulatory threshold, offering the best of both worlds.

The Vanquish VQ80 SportFish is an exceptional one-off vessel designed by Guido de Groot for luxury, speed, and, as the name suggests, sport fishing. Fully equipped for days at sea, this yacht offers the perfect balance of exceptional performance and comfort while reeling in the biggest catches.

The 4800 hp next-generation Cat C32B marine engine feeds two surface drives. Giving a range of 330 nautical miles near its top speed of 45 knots.
