On Saturday the 9th of July 2022 the Open European Championships KanJam were organized in Klarenbeek NL. Beautiful weather, great action, and a fantastic atmosphere resulted in a perfect day. After many games played, One Hit Wonders (NL) claimed the title while reigning Champions Rembrandt Masters (NL) were beaten by "10 seconden" in the semi-finals.

In the group stage One Hit Wonders already was the team to watch with 9 straight victories. Tiuri and Sven couldn't participate in last year's edition and demonstrated their skills throughout the tournament. After beating "De Beuker" 3-1 in the quarter finals and "Just Dutch" 3-2 in the semifinals, their performance in the finals was too much for "10 Seconden". One Hit Wonders kept the pressure on "10 seconden" and won relatively comfortable with 4-1 claiming their first ever title.

All teams that didn't make the golden poule, automatically advanced to the Silver Poule so they can continue playing Team Pils won the Silver Poule!

Like every year, the winners of the KJEC are awarded flight tickes to participate in the World Championships in the USA and we are looking forward sending more teams from Europe to compete in the USA for the world title.

SAVE THE DATE: THE 2023 DISCFLECT (KANJAM) EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE HELD AT SATURDY JULY 1ST 2023.

It’s the start of Spring! And that means it stays light longer in the evenings. Once again we have time to go out and do things like playing a game of football. Just to be on the safe side, take an Illuminate football with you so you don’t have to stop when night starts to fall! Then you’ll even be able to carry on playing after dark.

Favourite KanJam buddy 👬

If you play a lot of KanJam with the same person, it probably feels as though you’re being unfaithful if you suddenly team up with someone else. Naomi and Anne-Fleur have played as partners for years. Anne-Fleur: “Naomi and I have got used to each other so it’s true that it feels odd when you partner somebody else. For example, I once partnered someone who had played Ultimate Frisbee for years. She threw the disc completely differently. It was pretty tough to hit the disc properly and slam-dunk it into the can.”
