Inclusion is important! How great is it that wheelchair fencing can be so well included within a fencing club! The fencers take place in the wheelchair during a match and can fence against the wheelchair fencer. Great demands are made on technique, because the fencer has to fence on the last meter of the strip. Wheelchair fencing is therefore not only fun to do, but also an extremely good technical training for fencers!

On this picture our ambassador during the training in Istanbul at This club and coach got introduced by wheelchair fencing by Elke Lale a few months ago. All fencers did like it so much that they were waiting in a row to fence with Elke Lale. The club experienced the possibility to integrate wheelchair fencing in there tournament at the club. That is real inclusion! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

We are curious or there are more clubs who want to share their experiences with wheelchair fencing at our platform.

Congratulations to our ambassador Wheelchair Fencer Elke Lale van Achterberg with her 🥈medal at the U23 World Championship. Elke is en fencer of the Turkish national team but lives and is fencing in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

A behind-the-scenes video of Toyota's Olympic / Paralympic commercial with Italian wheelchair fencer Bebe Vio has just been released and shows the rehearsals and filming of the main fencing sequence. An unbelievable amount of work went into choreographing and rehearsing that sequence. Perhaps one day the entire amazing sequence will be released.
