You’ll be amazed of how much “extra work” you can do on a daily basis, while running a busy schedule.

The same goes for getting into your best shape!

Here are some of the most harmful lies we tell ourselves about getting in shape.. ❌

1. I don’t have time to (work out, meal prep, walk, etc.)

➡️ If you currently watch 1 or more TV shows, you have time. You just prioritize that over fitness.

2. “Life is too busy to start right now”

➡️ Life is too busy to eat more veggies? To do a couple 30-45 min workouts per week? Life will always feel busy with your current responsibilities, I feel you. However, you need to do it anyway.

3. “I just need to figure out..”

➡️ You probably don’t lack the knowledge required to get in shape. The issue is lack of concistency. Stop trying to be perfect, and focus on getting everything done 80% of the time.

4. “I need breaks on the weekends.”

➡️ If you genuinely feel this, you’re almost certainly being excessively restrictive with nutrition during the week. And there’s a good chance you’re working out too much on Mon-Fri, leaving you exhausted on weekends. You need moderation.

Most of the time we “overthink” too much. Instead we should “do” more and start EXECUTING!

On Monday you decide you’re going to take action and lose weight.

Great!

But most of you think about food in terms of “good” and “bad”, when you tell yourself you “aren’t allowed” certain foods.

This is what happens when you demonize food.. It’s a recipe for disaster and it will only lead to feeling cravings, especially in the weekends 😕

Listen up, instead of doing the above, change your mindset..

Food is food. Some of it is more nutritious, some of it is less nutritious.

Get AT LEAST 80% of your calories from more nutritious food, and up to 20% from less nutritious food.

Notice how much more relaxed you feel and how you’re feeling fewer cravings!😎

In this way you’ll make it so much easier to maintain a calorie deficit, while still being able to enjoy a burger! 😋

As long as you’re hitting your daily calorie & macro goals and getting in most of your calories from nutritious food, YOU CAN enjoy the foods you love!

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for taking this opportunity and for all the support I have received from you guys.. All the kind messages and the best support from my partner and the people I’m surrounded by, has given me so much more energy and motivation to push it this far! Thinking about it again makes me feel a little emotional and it warms my heart at the same time.. I literally can’t thank you guys enough for always believing in me and for your true support!♥️

It all started around 9 years ago without having any idea where I would end up. One thing I remember is that I’ve always wanted to build a strong, muscular but athletic physique just like the guys from the Men’s Health magazines and to build up more confidence to do more and to give more from myself to the world and to the people I care about..

This whole thing gave me a purpose in life and to this day I still like to inspire and to help as many people as possible achieve their fitness goals.

Last Sunday was a big day for me.. Because on this day I was able to showcast all the hard work and dedication over the past 9 years, including all the struggles that were part of it. It reminds me that you can achieve anything in life as long as you want it bad enough and are willing to commit yourself to that specific thing, no matter what other people think or say.

My first show is in the books and it was an indescribable feeling to step on stage.. At the same time it was an honor to share the stage with such good other athletes who have the same passion for this sport and who worked just as hard to this day. I have nothing but respect for these people knowing what they had to withstand to get where they are now.. The energy, the drive and the sportmanship is what I truly appreciate about this sport and all these things make it so much more than just ‘a show’ 💪

Once again I want to thank you all for your true support and for following my journey! It means a lot to me and I feel pumped to continue this journey with you guys! We’re not done yet and we’ve got work to do🙏

This is my starting point (no filter)❗️

As of today my 12-weeks Shredding Program has started and this year is gonna be different than previous years..

Because this year I will compete for the first time in my life and damn.. think about it will make me nervous af!

I’ve considered it before but at that moment I felt I wasn’t ready for it. Early this year a few people told me that I would have a good potential with my physique and it made me thinking about it again. I’ve asked myself: “which sort of physique is your ideal?”

The answer on that question had led me to sign up for a NPC Show in Men’s Physique division which will take place on September, 17th! 🇳🇱

A new challenge accepted which requires hard work & dedication, focus, consistency and self-confidence, because there will be pressure on me. However, I truly believe that at some point you have to step out of your comfort zone in order to further develop yourself, and yes, it will be a learning phase too in which mistakes will be made.

A bit scared? Yes. But I’m more motivated than ever to give this whole prep a shot and giving my utmost to bring my best package and leave it all on the table (mission is to reach the first callout🫡)

Yesterday morning I weighed myself at 91.0 kg / 201 lbs, knowing that I’ve a long way to go, but the gameplan is there!

Daily macros for this week are:
3,000 calories
220P / 373C / 70F
4x30 min cardio sessions to burn another 200-300 calories

Over the weeks my carb and fat intake will decrease, my cardio intensity will increase and my protein intake will remain unchanged for almost the entire prep.

I will document as much as possible of this prep, helping you lose body fat and maintain as much lean muscle mass as possible!

We’re in this together and mark my words. It will be BRUTAL! 💪

Learning how to fly. Definitely need to widen up my lats😅

My bulking phase last for another 2 months, eating at 4,000 calories per day which is quite a lot to me😅 However it is the last calorie increase that should allow me to gain more strength and size.

From mid June, things will switch up and I will start shredding down to the leanest I’ve ever been!
