Mark Tuitert about the skate classic in Alta, the race between top skaters from Norway and The Netherlands in the past decades: “I love skating when it is in nature, in the real winter of Norway. Connected to the elements, and experience these elements together with passionate colleagues of my sport. I hope we can transfer this “skating virus” to the youth. Sport, nature and sociability come together and are the core of speed skating. I do hope that this initiative contributes to the development of the Speed Skating in Alta and surroundings.”

Skate Classic in Alta!

Zaterdag 21 februari is het Noorse Alta het decor van een uniek schaatsevenement. Hoog bovenin Noorwegen treffen twaalf Nederlandse en Noorse schaatsers, die in zes verschillende decennia hun topjaren beleefden, elkaar op het ijs voor een ouderwetse landenwedstrijd.
