It has been an absolute joy to be back training with my teacher , Anne-Marie Zulkahari , during my visit back to the U.K.
I had the privilege of training with Ann-Marie and was a graduate of her two-year Pilates Teacher Training Programme in 2018.
Meeting and training with Ann-Marie, and her teachers, changed my whole world in so many ways. It’s hard for me to express how much impact it had on me in words, but I will try!
The course was life changing. It changed the way I looked at body movements and my understanding of anatomy. I had come from a Personal training background and had done a pretty basic Pilates matwork course prior. All of sudden I was introduced to the wonderful world of Pilates, the full equipment and the true beauty of the method.
I was taught anatomy like I’ve never been taught it before. Suddenly I was in a world where there was much more to the body than bones and muscles! A world where the body and mind connected, working together in harmony.
I was able to benefit from Ann-Marie’s immense experience. I was taught an in depth education of anatomy and biomechanics, alongside a through education of the Pilates method.
Why am I posting this? I am the Pilates teacher I am today, because of her teaching. I am fortunate enough to be able to share what I learnt with my clients. I am very grateful and proud to have learnt from Ann-Marie, and it’s important to recognise who I learnt my craft from.
Thank you Ann-Marie.
Not only for sharing your knowledge and expertise during the training. Not only for being an amazing and inspiring teacher , but for also being a kind, understanding and patient human.
You are someone I truly respect and love. You continually inspire me to be a better teacher, and the time we have recently spent together reinforced that further.
