Dear exhibitors,
when planning referees for the World Exhibition in Brno, we were based on the assumption that our exhibition would have the same number of dogs as at SV in Leipzig, at that time there was no reason why it should be different. The referees were therefore planned and invited for about 25 thousand dogs, i.e. 170 referees were approached. Unfortunately, the pandemia, which has crippled and still complicates travel, caused us to be at the state of 12 k registered dogs, that is barely half the plan, compared to the expected number.
So it must have been clear to everyone that referees had to be reduced and we published the new list before the last deadline so that the exhibitors know who it would concern and can behave accordingly. It has largely affected third-country referees such as Philippines, Japan, etc, who either cannot travel or give up. Even though the actual number of dogs is smaller than half against the original assumption, 125 referees remained in the list! Subsequent changes have only occurred in cases that more dogs have been applied to the referee than FCI orders allow after the last deadline.
Unfortunately, even now, just before the date of WDS, some referees do not know if they will arrive and we are still afraid that we will be forced to deal with changes. Believe that the situation is not easy or pleasant at all. The fact that the referees dismiss the assessment does not bring joy, but on the contrary, disillusionment and worries about how to secure a replacement.
Therefore, the last changes in referees will no longer be listed in the summary list, but in the current facts on the exhibition website. Thank you for your understanding

Dear Exhibitors,
When we planned judges for the World Dog Show in Brno, we assumed that our show would have the same number of dogs as at the WDS in Leipzig. At that time there was no reason why it would be different. Judges were therefore planned and invited with the anticipation of approximately 25 thousand dogs attending, ie. 170 judges were contacted. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and the subsequent disruption to travel, we are expecting 12,000 registered dogs, ie less than half of the planned number.
It became clear to everyone that the number of judges had to be reduced, and we published the new list before the last deadline so that the exhibitors knew which judges would be attending the show and could plan accordingly. This has largely affected third-country judges, such as the Philippines, Japan, etc., who either cannot travel or have decided not to travel of their own accord. Although the actual number of dogs is less than half the original assumption, 125 judges remain on the list! Subsequent changes have already taken place only in cases where, after the last deadline, more dogs applied to the judge than the FCI regulations allow.
Unfortunately, even now, just before the WDS deadline, we are not sure if some of the judges will be able to attend and it is possible that we will still have to deal with some changes. It is a difficult situation and it is disappointing when judges are not able to come, with concerns about how to secure a replacement.
The last changes to the judges will therefore no longer be included in the summary list, but in the news on the WDS 2021 website. Thank you for your understanding.
