A durable football pitch solution for harsh climates

Two football pitches in Bat Hadar and Beit Dagan, Israel, have been fitted with our 60 mm Edel Powerblade FIFA-approved artificial turf system, designed for intensive use and challenging weather conditions.

With high temperatures, intense sunlight and long dry periods, football pitches in Israel need a solution that can keep performing. The combination of robust 410-micron monofilament fibres, performance infill and a stable system construction delivers a resilient pitch with consistent playing characteristics.

The Edel Powerblade system is FIFA Quality and Quality Pro approved, making it suitable for professional football facilities, clubs, schools and municipalities.

Last July 8, a second official groundbreaking ceremony took place at S.v. Bubali Noord-Aruba, bringing together the Government of Aruba, FIFA, Voetbal Bond - AVB, the club, project partners and the Edel Grass team.

𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲!

In Meppel, we're working together with Antea Sport on the renovation of four football pitches at 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗘𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲 using our 𝗘𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲 artificial turf with natural cork infill.

This project is all about smart, sustainable choices. Existing fencing and edging boards are being reused, and even the top layer from the current natural grass pitches will get a second life in future projects.

Combined with the durable performance of Edel HybridBlade, this creates football pitches that are built for intensive use while contributing to a more circular future.

What was once a sports park shared by a few clubs has been transformed into a vibrant multi-sport hub. Football, tennis, padel, handball and korfball can now all be played at the same location.

Together with Antea Sport, we helped create a future-proof sports environment featuring a renovated korfball field with our 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗦𝗥 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺, four tennis courts with our 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 surface and four brand-new padel courts.

A great example of how collaboration, innovation and sustainable sports surfaces can help communities grow their sporting ambitions.

Our colleague Bastiaan Nooter and his team are taking on a challenge on 27 & 28 June at the Lansart Kart Circuit. 24 hours of karting to raise money for the Princess Máxima Centre and cancer treatment for children.

With day temperatures above 30ºC it promises to be a gruelling 24 hours, but they’re doing it for a fantastic cause. Helping children with cancer and supporting life-changing research and treatments.

𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴! The new Edel Grass artificial turf pitch at Soccer Experience Batu Kawan is already making a difference at community level. Developed in partnership with IKEA and managed by Eco Outdoor Malaysia, this facility is more than just a pitch. It’s a hub for local players of all ages to train, compete, and connect.

The new pitch at Soccer Experience Batu Kawan was built using the Edel Diamondblade artificial turf system, designed to deliver durability, comfort, and consistent playing performance for intensive community use.

The project overcame permitting challenges and was completed swiftly, showing what’s possible with strong collaboration. With a focus on accessibility and skill development for both boys and girls, Soccer Experience Batu Kawan is set to boost football participation and even attract international training camps in the future.
This initiative is a great example of how quality infrastructure can strengthen local sports culture and create new opportunities for growth.
