What can your insoles tell you?
They can reveal a lot about how well your shoes fit and where your feet are sitting inside the shoe.
🔍 What to look for:
✅ Foot centred on the insole
Your foot should sit comfortably within the shape of the insole, with no obvious overhang.
✅ Toe marks within the toe area
If your toes are not towards the end of the insole it would indicate the shoes are too long and this will put your cleats in the wrong position also.
✅ Even pressure marks
Uneven impressions can highlight pressure points, hot spots, or areas where your foot isn’t being properly supported.
Your insole won’t tell the whole story, but it’s one of the easiest ways to assess whether your shoes are working with your feet or against them.
At Lake, we believe fit is about more than just length. Width, volume, shape, and toe box design all play a role in creating a comfortable and efficient ride.
