New technology should not create a new manual bottleneck.

In-ovo sexing adds an important decision to the hatchery process. But at commercial scale, scanning eggs is only part of the challenge. The complete flow around the scan must keep moving.

Genus Focus automates the process from trolley to trolley:
• Trays enter the system automatically
• Eggs are transported and handled carefully
• MRI and AI classify each egg
• Eggs are sorted according to the result
• Trays are returned to the outgoing trolley

The modular system requires only one operator and can be expanded as production needs grow.

The automation and egg handling within Genus Focus are where we, together with Orbem, contribute our expertise. We allow hatcheries to introduce in-ovo sexing as an integrated production step, without turning classification into a separate, labour-intensive process.

At Orallar Zirai Kızılkuyu breeder farm, 130,000 birds are spread across ten houses. Previously, the combined egg flow made it difficult to see the yield from each individual house.

Meggsius Count & Control changed that. Cameras above the Van Gent nests count eggs from both sides of each house in real time, with close to 99% accuracy. The team can now see where a problem occurs and respond immediately.

Because data becomes valuable when it makes the next action clearer.

This development builds on an established partnership between Orallar Zirai, Vencomatic Group and our Turkish dealer, Avimak, providing local support throughout the project and afterwards.

Before pullets enter the laying house, they need to develop the skills required for life in an aviary. During rearing, they learn to jump, perch, navigate different levels, and find feed and water.
