Precies een maand geleden hebben we een spannende wedstrijd tegen de Dukes Dames/Octopus gespeeld. Hieronder de foto's en tevens een verslag van ons lieftallig WADje Anna Weber:
"Sunday 24 January we had to play against the Dukes in Den Bosch. Piet, our multi talent player, played her second game as flanker and Lisanne who actually is one of our centers played at the wing.
From the first minute on we were ready to give our best, play a hard game and win. Our scrums were standing good and we often won the ball. So it did not take long until Willemijn made the first try of the game for us. However, also the Dukes wanted to win, so they gave us a hard time and played hard as well. So it did not take all too long till they made a try too.
After 40 minutes fighting hard, it was half time and we got some orange slices to recover a little bit. The second half of the game was as hard as the first one and it got really exciting, because both the Dukes and we had a tie and really wanted to win. Lisanne made her first official try, but unfortunately she hurt her knee ten minutes later and had to leave the field. So Nina could made her first official game minutes at the wing. At the end of the game the score was 34 to 39 for the Dukes.
However, all in all we can be proud of us, we played a really good game, fought hard and did our best."
Aanstaande zondag mogen we weer tegen de Dukes Dames/Octopus rugbyen bij de Doetichemse Rugby Club Wild Rovers. De aftrap is om 13.00 uur. Dus komt allen ons aanmoedigen!
