Just finished this beautiful, lightweight Yumi!
The bow draws exceptionally smoothly and packs plenty of energy, even at a comfortable 35 lbs at 90 cm.
The core is made from padauk—a fantastic, stable timber to work with. Paired with heat-treated bamboo back and belly strips, it delivers impressive power relative to its draw weight.
To finish it off, I added smoked-ash stained nocks, a soft deer-leather grip, and traditional rattan wrappings. And because a bow like this deserves matching gear, I crafted a set of custom bamboo arrows to go with it.
I couldn't be happier with how this build turned out, and I hope its new owner loves it just as much!
