Overcoming Forgetfulness in ADHD
Imagine this scenario: You find it satisfying to hit the gym right after work, letting off some steam.
In the morning, you set the goal to exercise after work.
A few hours later, you're in your car, arriving home, realizing you completely forgot to hit the gym.
This isn't an uncommon experience for individuals with ADHD.
The intentions are there.
However, the results often fall short.
One effective way to tackle this is by understanding the "why" behind your actions. Clarifying your motivation to yourself works wonders.
But I won't stop there because motivation might exist but remains invisible to you in the midst of day.
How do you make your motivation visible?
Write down the "why" and set a reminder in your calendar to remind you after work.
The last one that worked for me is placing external reminders! Such as placing your workout gear on your car seat.
These are simple actions that assist our brains in turning intentions into reality.
Unleash your potential by making your intention crystal clear.
Break the cycle of forgetfulness and transform your intentions into achievements.
