We need silence and we need words to resonate in it. Sometimes hiding in a cave is necessary for a while, for inner reconstruction and alchemy. And then, something can be reborn, because the treasure has been revealed after years of dusting off the dirt.

I’m Aurelie Hartmann, and I sing and speak for those who refuse to give up on being human, who embrace their broken hearts and who still believe in magic despite the pain and suffering of this life.

It takes perseverance and self belief to refuse to compare yourself, and to keep going even when doubt creeps up regularly. Having a vision is one of the greatest gifts this life has given me ❤️‍🔥

Far from me far from my heart. This is about the silence becoming so loud between too people who had to part. Sometimes paths need to take different ways, and yet love is still there, somewhere in a corner of the heart. Detaching needs to be intentional, which doesn’t mean it’s cold hearted. There is a fine balance, a middle way that allows for all those contradicting feelings — grief, tenderness, neediness, steadiness — to coexist.

Does this song belong in the next album? I’m already having the vision for the music video, if you can believe it 🐺

This echoes a recent thread that I made that seemed to resonate with people. The fact that many artists have to rely on their parents/family or some kind of sponsor / government help before they can find their own way of making money with their art — if they ever find another way. There is so much shame around this topic, so I want to deconstruct some of it with questioning the idea of financial independence.
