"The Speeches That Saved the Golden Globes", kopte the Atlantic.
* Zelfspot: Jennifer Coolidge (White Lotus) "I just wanna say, Mike White, you have given me hope. [...] You changed my life in a million different ways. My neighbors are speaking to me. I was never invited to one party on my hill, and now, everyone's inviting me".
* Vernedering: Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once) "It's been an amazing journey and an incredible fight to be here today. But I think it's been worth it. I remember when I first came to Hollywood—it was a dream come true until I got here. Because look at this face. I came here and was told, ‘You are a minority. [...] And then someone said to me: 'You speak English'. And then I said 'Yeah, the flight here was about 13 hours long, so I learned on the way...'".
* Zelftwijfel: Ke Huy Quan, bekend als het jongetje Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (Everything Everywhere All at Once) "For so many years, I was afraid I had nothing more to offer—that no matter what I did, I would never surpass what I did as a kid."
* Nederigheid: Austin Butler (Elvis) "I'm in this room full of my heroes, Brad [Pitt] I love you, Quentin [Tarantino] I printed out the Pulp Fiction script when I was twelve. I cannot believe I'm here right now."
I wanna thank my mom, dad and God". Of zoals Steven Spielberg het verwoordde: "I think everything I have done up to this point has made me ready to finally be honest about the fact that it is not easy to be a kid, the fact that everybody sees me as a success story, and everybody sees all of us based on the way how they get their information. But nobody really knows who we are until we are courageous enough to tell who we are."
