It is with a heavy heart that I bring you this news.... and Sportology are going their seperate ways.
Although making this decision wasn't easy, we will always hold a strong and close relationship.
I want to thank for the opportunity they gave me. What a run!

I also want to extend a big thanks and appreciation to all the coaches and athletes for putting in such hard work with in the s&c development project throughout these 6 years. It wasn't easy, but we definitely reached new heights on this long journey. I am so proud of each one of you for the sticking with the program and by my side. The honor is all mine 🙌🏼

Special S/O to my brother .... without you, non of this would be possible. Thank you for still believing in me.... and boy what a ride it was!
Our saga of eating championships and creating elite bballers will continue: we ride together, we die together.... love you to death brother! ❤️

I will always do my best to stick with the programming parameters/tools of strength & conditioning. Even if it means to create or improvise resistance exercises in the same movement dimensions without any or other equipment in the surroundings. Confronting problems, over-running obastacles and finding solutions is in my nature to keep things moving. Love the options.

Like you see in the video, some of the exercises seem a bit junk yard(ish) and strange, but there is a reason for this: no strength equipment.

Anyways.....
Besides the heavy fysical training, I am also implementing the mental aspects of resilience in the program. Overcoming the fear of contact engagement is a big one.
Another big fear-factor to overcome these days, is the off-court scare-tactics of being overtrained or fatigued for these young athlete😳, so the main focus is increasing battle-hardend workcapacity.

The capacity to recover quickly from difficulties is an lost art and is much more healthier for long-term results. We don't want to create worriers, but warriors, and I truly believe in this concept.
Winning in competition is an entire skillset of it's own, and not always the best technical athlete wins.... the one who knows how to compete wins.

So...
Training with only benches, bands and sticks as equipment and still getting results? Can you imagine what results I could bring you with the right equipment and accomodation?

For more than 15+ years I am evolving movement exercises (skills) and optimizing sport performance on high levels.
Specialist in programming top teams, academies and athletes.

SO PROUD OF THESE MEN! 🔥🔥🔥

Coaches and show again and again that they are there, right where they should be...on that final spot!

With the MU14 as runner-up, the men fought really hard, especially how they fought there own battles in the game. A big s/o to all the players here. .j.damen and all the other players. Remember; not everyone can share the same stage as you did, and you should be proud of your achievement!

The MU22 final was also a great game till the end! All game long we had to chase that 8/10 point game, as Leiden did a good Job of protecting that lead. The turning point is when the 2nd TF was given. The passion and the team companionship was sparked to another level. Sometimes it must go unsuspected worse so to make things stable and use that energy to smell blood of the opponent. This makes you a true champion gentlemen!

To see them grow, worked together and EATING championships for so many years, I would expect nothing else. Big respect to all the players..... you are true champions!1013 .b15 .leons ._ ._ and all the other players I didn't mention.

Another day at the office.

Not everyday you will get the tools to work towards your goals.
In my case it's equipment, wich compliments the effectivness of that area of improvement.
Improvisation, innovation and direction is required to get the process moving foward.

Always seek the training upportunity in your surroundings, with the same snc-parameters, to benefit the advantage over others. I strongly believe in this.
It's called getting things done!

THROWBACK THURSDAY

2011 - Calandhal, Amsterdam | Harlem Lakers in-season training.

After my journey at MyGuide / ABC Amsterdam, Harlem Lakers hired me to program their strength & conditioning. It was the first for me to set foot in another basketball club and confronting the challenges.

If it comes to team sports, working together in-season, as well giving players a wide diversity of movement, was always a part of my training philosophy.

Back then, these players (including and many more) worked their butt off that season!

All my respect to you guys and wish you well in any achievements.
