This is one of my books that I’ve not spoken about all that much for a while, despite it being one of my favourites.
I thought I’d give it a shout out because the the e-book version (Kindle, etc) is currently on sale for 80p (UK), 0.99€ (Europe) or $1.99 (US, Canada, Australia) from now until June 10th.
I wrote the book because I have always been curious about whether things are predestined in life or whether we create everything as we go along.
I came to the conclusion that it’s a bit of both, but whether one (destiny) or the other (free will) predominates might change at different times in our lives, and also depends on the person.
My analogy is that of a canoe on a river. You have a paddle and you can use it to go wherever you want. However, the river has a current and runs fast and slow at times. Sometimes when you want to paddle left, the current pulls right, and so there’s an interplay between ‘destiny’ and free will.
So the book explores both how different external forces can impact us, but also shares techniques for creating what we want in life.
The first chapter is called, ‘Chronobiology’. When I first wrote the book, some people thought this was a made-up word, but it’s actually the science of how some natural (cosmic) cycles steer some of our biological cycles.
For example, the rotation of the Earth, the orbit of the Moon, and even the cycles of the Earth around the Sun, all impact our biology in various ways. We even have a CLOCK gene.
All of nature responds like this. It’s why a flower or a leaf will turn to face the sun.
I also cover epigenetics and how our own experiences and that of our grandparents and beyond can influence our genes.
I even go into some science around consciousness, I explore life after death (and life before life!) and the idea that there might be higher reasons why each of us was born when and where we were born, into a particular set of social or economic conditions.
I hope you enjoy the book if you’re moved to pick up a copy. I love that my publisher Hay House has made it so inexpensive this week.🌞
