HISTORICAL record chase in club history! 🔥🏏 What a remarkable day for VVV Cricket Club at Amsterdam Bijlmer Sportpark. Under scorching 32-degree heat, both teams produced a game that will be remembered for a very long time. After Groen & Wit posted a massive 380/6 in 50 overs, many thought the game was beyond reach. Credit to Groen & Wit for batting brilliantly and putting our bowlers under pressure throughout the innings. They played excellent cricket and pushed the game to an incredible level. Omair Sultan 83 runs and then came batsman number five
(S. Khogyani) 166 runs in 55 balls with 21 sixes!! Smashing it with a strike rate of 300!

But then came a chase for the history books.
VVV responded with fearless intent and outstanding character, chasing down 383/6 in just 48.1 overs the highest successful run chase in club history! A sensational unbeaten 150 from Mamoon Khan anchored the innings, while Haris Nazar played a superb knock of 63. Mohsin Ghaznavi contributed an important 41, and Satvinder Singh finished the game strongly with an unbeaten 45. The batting unit showed courage, composure and belief from start till finish. Matches like these are only possible when cricket is played in the right spirit, and both teams deserve huge respect for the entertaining contest they produced. Special appreciation as well to umpires Bart Kroesen and Bhavesh Arya, who did an outstanding job controlling such a high-pressure game calmly and professionally despite the extreme conditions. 👏 Nearly 800 runs scored, records broken, and memories created. This is why we love cricket. 💚🏏

What a fantastic game of cricket last Saturday between VVV 6 and ZHCC 1! A true thriller with plenty of ups and downs from both sides, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. With nearly 150–200 spectators at Oostzanerwerf in Amsterdam, the atmosphere was electric.

A big thank you to the KNCB for arranging the umpires and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Great sportsmanship from ZHCC as well.

With this win, VVV 6 has secured promotion to the Overgangsklasse next season – what an achievement! 🎉 Look at the celebrations! 🏆💛💙

📢 Double Finals this Saturday at VVV 📢

This *Saturday* is a huge day for VVV Cricket with two finals on the line!

🏆 Ground 1 (12:00) – Saqib Iqbal and his team, VVV 6, face ZHCC 1 in the championship decider. The winner books a place in the Overgangsklasse next season!

🏆 Ground 2 (12:30) – Usman Younas and his team, VVV Zami, take on Bloemendaal Zami. A victory will crown VVV Zami as champions!

It’s set to be an unforgettable day of cricket with Frogbox live streaming, official umpires, music, food 🥘 and a fantastic atmosphere across both grounds.

Congratulations to Apoorv Wankhade on signing with VVV Cricket Club for the 2025 Hoofdklasse Cricket Competition. 🏏

Following two dominant seasons in Surrey, where he racked up over 2,000 runs at an average of 65+ — the Indian run machine is set for his maiden stint in the Netherlands and will be looking to pick up right where he left off in 2024. 💥

A player we fully expect to pile on the runs again this summer!

(We hope to deliver more umpires to the KNCB in the near future). Evening full of awards. Two champion teams (VVV 6, VVV7). Tiger of the Year 2024 award (Sadaqat Habib).
