Workshop reflections
๐๐ฝ The dust has settled and thereโs been plenty of time for everything to sink in. We managed to organise a very successful workshop full of motivated and intelligent individuals eager to learn and apply new knowledge to their respective roles and this is what itโs all about for me.
Iโm so happy and grateful that we were able to bring Matt over to the Netherlands. Personally I never had a mentor to guide me through the training process, Iโve had to pick up a lot of information and apply it as I go, this is very much how it is in our industry.
There are a lucky few who can intern under a true expert, but for the rest of us we need to constantly search for information to improve ourselves and our practice. This is exactly why I was had the ambition to bring someone as knowledgeable, open and experienced as Matt. To provide a space where people can bring their knowledge, level up and inspire more thought. To see how focused everyone was to be able to learn from Matt and hear all the questions being asked was really something I was proud of.
Beside this, the human side of coaching canโt be understated and having opportunities like this one where we can all come together, share thoughts and questions in an open forum is something that books, articles or social media wonโt be able to provide in the way that the in person experience can. At the end of the day most of us are in this industry to help PEOPLE, so being surrounded by others who are in the same boat only helps to spark this goal.
Special thanks to everyone that attended, because without your desire to learn we wouldnโt be able to put something on like this, thank you to leaders like who are helping to make training easier to understand and more applicable, thanks to for letting us use their world class facility for the day and finally to for capturing the great energy of the day ๐ธ
This was my first time organising something like this, but definitely wonโt be my last, looking forward to what the next one can bring!
