Afgelopen zaterdag, bootje even naar Scheveningen gevaren!

🇳🇱 WE DID IT! ⛵️🏆

Wat een ongelooflijke 24 Uurs Zeilrace hebben we achter de rug! Met onze XR 41 hebben we maar liefst 201 mijl gevaren in 24 uur. 💨🌊

En met een fantastisch resultaat: 1e in de Doublehanded klasse én 1e Overall ORC! 🏆🏆

Extra bijzonder omdat Robin deze wedstrijd helaas niet mee kon varen. Gelukkig stond Gijs klaar om in te vallen, en samen met John heeft hij alles gegeven! 💪

We zijn ontzettend trots op dit resultaat en op wat onze XR 41 opnieuw heeft laten zien. Wat een boot!

Dank aan iedereen die ons heeft gevolgd en gesteund tijdens deze race. Op naar het volgende avontuur!

What an incredible 24 Hour Sailing Race we’ve had! With our XR 41, we covered an impressive 201 nautical miles in just 24 hours. 💨🌊

And with an amazing result: 1st in the Doublehanded class AND 1st Overall ORC! 🏆🏆

This result is extra special, as Robin unfortunately wasn’t able to join us for this race. Luckily, Gijs stepped in, and together with John, he gave it everything! 💪

We are incredibly proud of this result and of what our XR 41 has shown once again. What a boat!

A huge thank you to everyone who followed and supported us throughout the race. On to the next adventure!

⛵️ Vandaag zijn we begonnen aan de 24 Uurs Race! 🌊💨

Een wedstrijd waar uithoudingsvermogen, teamwork en natuurlijk heel veel zeilplezier samenkomen. 💪

Helaas kan Robin er deze wedstrijd vanwege een blessure niet bij zijn. Gelukkig hebben we versterking gekregen van Gijs, die met ons meevaart! 🙌⛵️

We hebben er ontzettend veel zin in en gaan de komende 24 uur alles geven! 🔥 Volg ons avontuur en beleef de race met ons mee.

WORLD CHAMPIONS! 🏆🌍

What an incredible week this has been.
We are beyond proud to share that we have officially become ORC Doublehanded World Champions 2026 after winning both the short- and long-distance offshore races.

Yesterday, during the official prize giving ceremony, we were crowned World Champions, a moment we are incredibly proud of after everything we have put into this project since spring 2025.

Together with the XR41, we managed to perform consistently across every condition the championship threw at us, from light winds to heavy offshore conditions.

Over the past year, this journey has been one big learning curve. Step by step we learned exactly how the boat behaves, how to push her harder, and how to sail competitively in conditions ranging from 0 to 35 knots of wind and every sea state imaginable.

This achievement would never have been possible without the incredible support around us.

Wat een dag op het water.

Van tactische keuzes en weinig wind aan de start tot volle snelheid downwind — vandaag draaide alles om focus, communicatie en het maken van de juiste beslissingen op het juiste moment.

Soms met maar één meter onder de kiel, constant schakelen tussen strategie, snelheid en zeilkeuzes… maar uiteindelijk pakte alles goed uit. De keuze voor de A5 bleek de juiste en zorgde ervoor dat we verder konden uitlopen op de rest van het veld.

Eerste in onze groep en vooral een race waar we met een goed gevoel op terugkijken.

Dank aan de NSR voor de interviews en het volgen van onze race gedurende de dag.

🇬🇧 What a day on the water.

From tactical decisions and light winds at the start to full speed downwind runs — today was all about focus, communication, and making the right calls at the right time.

At times with only one meter under the keel, constantly switching between strategy, speed, and sail choices… but in the end, everything came together perfectly. Choosing the A5 turned out to be the right decision and allowed us to extend our lead on the rest of the fleet.

First in our group and, above all, a race we look back on with a great feeling.

On to the next one.

Wat een North Sea Race!

Van zware omstandigheden en snelle downwind-runs tot snelheden van 14 knopen door het water, we hebben alles gegeven!

Na een intens raceweekend sluiten we af met:
🥇 Goud — ORC 1
🥈 Zilver — ORC Doublehanded
🥈 Zilver — IRC 1

Een resultaat waar we trots op zijn en een belangrijke laatste voorbereiding richting het WK Doublehanded van 21 t/m 25 mei.

Dank aan iedereen die ons volgt en support tijdens deze journey. Nu ligt de volledige focus op het WK.

Wij zijn er klaar voor! 💪

From heavy conditions and fast downwind runs to speeds of 14 knots through the water, we gave everything!

After an intense weekend of racing, we finish with:
🥇 Gold — ORC 1
🥈 Silver — ORC Doublehanded
🥈 Silver — IRC 1

A result we’re proud of and an important final step in our preparation for the Doublehanded World Championship from May 21st–25th.

Thanks to everyone following and supporting us throughout this journey. Now the full focus shifts to the World Championship.

🇳🇱 Na gisteren als 1e gefinisht te zijn in de doublehanded categorie, zijn we vanochtend alweer vertrokken vanuit Harwich voor de North Sea Race richting Scheveningen.

Een nieuwe uitdaging, nieuwe omstandigheden en opnieuw een lange race voor de boeg. We hebben er zin in en vertrouwen in om er weer een mooie strijd van te maken.

After finishing 1st in the doublehanded category yesterday, we set off again this morning from Harwich for the North Sea Race back to Scheveningen.

A new challenge, new conditions, and another long race ahead of us. We’re excited and confident to take on the next battle out on the water.
