Born to Play is een voetbal academie die zich in zet om de strijd aan te gaan met het geboortemaandeffect door het aanbieden van professionele trainingen. Uit wetenschappelijk onderzoek blijkt dat kinderen die geboren zijn in de laatste maanden van het jaar, 5 keer zo weinig kans hebben om geselecteerd te worden in selectieprocedures bij voetbalclubs en organisaties. Door het aanbieden van 30 prof

essionele trainingen onder leiding van Guido den Dikken en wedstrijden tegen betaald voetbal organisaties zet Born to Play zich in om kinderen die tussen 1 juli en 1 januari geboren zijn, met een uitzondering voor een speler uit het eerste half jaar (die een lichting hoger speelt), een platform te geven waarin zij de begeleiding krijgen die ze op basis van hun talent verdienen.
