The maiden edition of the league has come to an end, and the winner of the prestigious title is Super Star FC. What a team, what a journey they have had, the highs and the lows, the sweet and the bitter experience they have enjoyed and endured, playing under the scorching sun and under the rain to finally wrap their hands on the title.

They have the best joint defensive record with Ubiaja All Star team, conceding eight (8) goals and scored forty one (41) goals; the most in the competition.

Indeed goals win you games but a good defence wins you titles.

On this ground, we appreciate the teams that participated, the organizers of this beautiful project, the players of each teams, coaches, referees, and the fans of each teams. We know the sacrifices made by each team to make sure the league did not stop half way, as players, as fans your efforts are highly appreciated.

In one way or the other, your involvement in this competition added colour and made the league interesting.

As another weekend approaches, another round of matches unveils; as this will be the final match of the Maiden season of Ubiaja Football League.

Super Stars are already champions but will they show their superiority when they come up against Royal Rangers?

Young Stars will trade tackle with Ubiaja All Stars, who will emerge a superior star

Hausa FC will welcome Weekend Warriors will they spoil this weekend for the warriors. Time will tell

The high flying Super Stars team showed why they are number one on the league standings.

Hausa FC team has a lot of positives to build on as they are good with interplay, winning the ball back in the midfield.

This win for the Super Stars team means mathematically they are the league winner with a game to spare.

A match between league leaders and a bottom of the league team. In football anything can happen, as the pendulum of defeat may just swing to your team in a split second vis-a-vis.

Weekend Warriors (2) Vs Young Stars (0)

The first match of game week 9 saw weekend Warriors defeat Young Stars. The host team dominated the first half and scored after been wasteful too many times in the final third.

The Young Stars team in the second half were more compact and showed some flashes of good football but their opponent nullified their attempts on goal; and sealed their win by scoring late in the game.

With that win Weekend Warriors are level on points with Royal Rangers team pending what their outcome will be on Sunday.

This was a match between table topers and second placed team, a match that could decide the winner of the league.

A match were both the highest goal scorers of the league met, a match were both teams were immaculate both definitively and attack wise.

Super Stars have scored 35 goals and conceded just 7 goals even their rivals- Ubiaja All Stars have scored 36 goals and conceded 7 goals

The match lived up to it's hype as both teams went all out to grab the three points.

The deadlock was broken towards the last 10 minutes of the game as Super Stars talisman scored from a well worked team play.

That win has made Super Stars team to leapfrog Ubiaja All Stars to the first position on the table.

Both teams are currently first and second position in the log with Super Stars FC topping with just 2points.

Azeke of UBJ All Stars FC currently tops the goal scorers chat with just a goal difference from Samson of Superstars FC.

Both teams have all to play for in this classic encounter.
