OUR APPRECIATION AND HUMBLE APPEAL

JANUARY 4, 2020.

The entire members and the organizing committee of Rumuokparali Football Association is very elated for the huge success recorded in the 2019/2020 edition of Rumuokparali Unity Football Tournament. Despite all obstacle, we still conquered and we give God all the glory.

One of our mission was to rewrite the negative narrative about Rumuokparali and we are glad to announce that it was fully achieved. Once again, "we make bold to say that Rumuokparali has always been a peaceful and friendly community", we therefore appeal with anyone that want to come and invest in Rumuokparali to come without fear.

CHALLENGES: The Committee was faced with a ladden of sourcing for fund as letters of appeal for sponsorship and financial support were sent out but only few responded, One of our major plans was to get a new goal post and as well fix the football pitch to a standard form but due to financial challenges, we were unable to achieve it, on that note; we are making a special appeal to anyone that is moved with what happened in Rumuokparali during the period of the tournament and wishes to help us to reach out to us via any available means.

APPRECIATION: Our profound appreciation goes to everyone who in one way or the other rendered any kind of support to us during the period of the tournament most especially, The Rumuokparali Council of Chiefs and Elders, Barr. Vitalis Ajoku, Mr Paul Worlu, Dr. Worlu Wali, Sir. Chris Abel, Mr Onome Weke, Deeper Life High School, Royal Girls Academy, Mr Mac-Godday Kamalu (Rumuokparali CDC Chairman), Rumuokparali Youths Association (RYA), Rumu-Ime Community.

We also appreciate the supporters of various participating team for always coming to cheer up their team despite their tight schedule and also not minding the negative news peddled around by detractors and haters to discredit the town, we say a big thank you to our commentators Mr Charles Mayuku of Love FM and Mr Ochonma ThankGod, not to forget a lady of substance Vivian Kamalu for the live coverage on social media.

Never to forget the Rivers United head coach, Chief Stanley Eguma for finding some players from this tournament worthy to join his football academy (Dolphins Football Academy) for proper training and guidelines in the world of football.

We are proud to say that this edition is unarguably the best tournament so far organized in the soil of Rumuokparali.
