ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS Niger State Chapter
Press Statement
Re-Vice President Professor Yemi Osibanjo In Bida On Private Visit
The attention of the All Progressive Congress Niger state chapter has been drawn to a press statement purportedly issued by the embattled Niger state chairman of the opposition, "People's Democratic Party" in which he reportedly claimed that the Vice president did not have any project to commission during his visit to Niger state.
I will not have replied to the misinformation by the PDP but for reasons of not allowing the public to be fed with falsehood.
First and foremost, let it be known that Vice President Osibanjo was in Bida on a private visit and it behoves on the Governor Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Sani Bello to receive him and remain with him for the period of his private visit.
To link the visit to the state shows that the state PDP has lost touch with reality and protocol. If the Vice President was to visit Niger state as he has done before there are more than enough tangible projects executed throughout the state that he would have commissioned.
The APC government in this state does not play to the gallery, it allows the people to speak for it because of the projects executed that have touched the lives of the people in both urban and rural communities.
I wish to quickly remind the PDP that one of it leaders was awarded contract for the electrification of Beji town by the the PDP government, which the PDP leader did not execute the contract after collecting in full the total contract sum. The PDP has forgotten so soon that it is the APC government that connected Beji town to the National Electricity grid by executing the project. Even if there is no project to commission, Beji electricity project will have been on the table but like said earlier the APC does not believe in playing to the gallery.
Without being laboring issues, I want the PDP leadership to facus on its internal crisis which has made it impossible for them to conduct congress at 8 local governments.
A party that cannot manage it's internal affairs should not like its running nose into the affairs of another party.
A word is enough for the wise.
Khaleel Ibrahim Aliyu
APC State Secretary
