He remains a key part of Alonso’s plans and is considered untouchable by Chelsea. However, Estêvão reportedly expected more game time after choosing Chelsea over other top European clubs.

🚨It has bemused fans that Enzo Maresca has avoided mentioning Chelsea directly, referring to them as “my former club”, “the club where I was” and “that other club”.

also avoided naming Maresca in their announcement of his departure, referring to him three times as “our former head coach”.

The club instead described Xabi Alonso as a “coach with exceptional football intelligence” and a “professional of impeccable integrity”.

It's isn't about the game time bro, it's about the mentality of the players! If Vinicius Jr started like this he would have been gone long before 2022. The same with Raphinha, Skelly, Even the young Kobie. It isn't about if you get game time or not, it's about if you are willing to push yourself and take your place back. Competition is always in football, and competition brings the best out of players(Elite players) not make them run away.

🚨 ICYMI: Estevao told close people that he feels he won’t get so much space (chances) under Alonso. He prefers to play centrally, and would not like to compete with Neto out wide because he will have to add more body mass, which he feels will take away from his mobility and comprise his style.
