The 15th edition of the prestigious Niger State Pre-Season Soccer Tournament kicks off on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Maikunkele Township Field. This year’s tournament will feature 24 teams, including Lapai Football Academy, who are set to showcase their talent and determination on the field.

We are thrilled to announce that Lapai Football Academy will play the opening match against Tunga Pillars FC on Wednesday at 1:00 PM. This marks a great opportunity for our team to demonstrate their hard work and passion for the beautiful game.

We extend our gratitude to the organizers, sponsors, and all stakeholders for making this event possible. Special appreciation goes to Engr. Ibrahim Dada Maikunkele for his unwavering support of grassroots football in Niger State.

On January 3, 2025, Lapai Football Academy held its inaugural management meeting, marking a significant step toward fostering the academy’s growth beyond Nigeria. The meeting brought together professionals from various fields, united in their commitment to advancing the academy’s vision.

Following the productive meeting, the management team attended the Management Unveiling Match, where the academy's players faced off against Random Motion Football Club, Minna. The match ended in an exciting 1-1 draw, setting the tone for a promising future under the academy’s new leadership.
