President Bola Ahmed Tinubu honored the victorious Nigeria Deaf Super Eagles with the national honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) and approved cash awards for their win at the 13th West Africa Deaf Football Championship in Abuja. The president's commendation, relayed through the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), celebrated the team's historic achievement of their sixth championship title, highlighting the significance of sports in empowering persons with disabilities and fostering national unity.
