It's been a while I posted about my AI journey in content creation. It's been quite and interesting run so far.
As we continued to use AI tools to bring our stories to life, it became more and more clear that High quality storytelling with AI tools was a bloody tedious job.
Whoever said AI would replace creatives had watched too much science fiction films, mostly those of the 90's that had people flying around the place in cars in the year 2023. Guess what? It's 2024 and that sh** hasn't happened. Same as AI replacing creatives in the next half a decade. What AI would end up doing to a filmmaker would be driving them crazy with inconsistent characters, scenes and continuity blunders.
However, as good Nigerians that should not "gree for anybody" according to our year mantra, we fought a good fight. Our new African storytelling Channel is blossoming and has qualified for YouTube partnership already, in less than 3 months, all thanks to God Almighty. It has been a tough journey mixing all the AI image and video tools with a lot of Photoshop to create compelling stories. But for the love of storytelling we shall continue to forge on, applying every medium.
