Dear yogini/ yogis,

Have you ever thought of your whys when it comes to yoga practice?

Like why do you wake up every morning to practice, or why do you teach, or why do you promote Yoga practice.

I’m curious because for a lot of us our whys begun from a place of vague interest but as we address in DO YOGA, the fact that our practice in itself is a journey, it tends to shape our journey along the way.

Take for example, from wanting to do a split three years ago to acquiring a certificate in yoga and physiology.

I practice and educate because I believe as a physiologist that yoga heals.

Why do you practice?

Selfcare Sunday.

Today we scented the space with a fruity cocktail Incense from northern Nigeria.

The natural fruity scent was chosen based off of scent personality and was used to promote deep relaxation in mindfulness.

Burner + scent = 2550 q

Thirty likes and we’ll share the vendor 💚💚

Everyday I’m day thankful of the cold Friday evening when I stumbled on a free yoga tutorial hosted by an Afroyogi on Pinterest.⁣

I became curious whether or not my body could do the same and even if it did, what were the benefits, was just going to be another performative skill or something with life changing values, especially if it corroborated with my degree in Human physiology. ⁣

It’s a pretty coincidence that I completed my NYU online course on Engineering Health: Physiology & Yoga.⁣

Because it answered all my foremost questions.⁣

Learning all yoga has to offer In physiological health has driven me to study more, research more, practice more and most especially share more.⁣

Happy International Yoga Day to all the Yogis killing it out there. ⁣

Follow for more on my Journey and what is to come. ⁣
