AshIeigh plumptre: reaction after Been left out on the squad for the upcoming WAFCON.

By certain c0rrupt officials who demanded something from me that I could not and would never offer. ..If my talent, hard work, dedication and commitment to representing my country are not enough to earn my place in the team, then perhaps it is time for me to step back.

This hurts deeply because wearing the national colours has always been an honour I never took for granted. But I can never go against my values just to earn a call-up. ..Never.

As players, they rarely moved alone. They started at Al Ahly, went to Europe together, returned to Al Ahly, briefly played in the UAE, then made the move to Zamalek together, where they won three league titles and the CAF Champions League.

They also played together for Egypt at the 1990 World Cup, after Hossam scored the header that sent the country to the tournament.
