Hiring several PhD—fully Funded!

We are seeking highly motivated PhD candidates to join our research group at the UAE University in Chemical Engineering, kicking off in January 2026. These fully funded positions will focus on cutting-edge chemical, material, and environmental solutions for pressing challenges. The work will be in close collaboration with international institutions ( NTNU-Norway, RU- Iceland) and with a top 1% of highly cited researchers worldwide (Prof. Dr. Mohammad jawaid ).
🔬 Candidates Roles:
1️⃣ Area 1 (Molten Salts):
1. Conduct solubility measurements and propose dissolution mechanisms in cyolite-based melts
2. Conduct electrochemical studies and propose reduction mechanisms in the electrolytes under consideration.
2️⃣ Area 2 ( Aluminium Electrowinning):
1. Production of binary and ternary aluminium-based alloys and conducting performance assessments.
2. Computational modeling of the electrochemical performance against extensive experimental data.
3️⃣ Area 3 (Composites: nano and metal laminated composites):
1. Synthesis of nano-engineered interfacial bonding in metal laminated composites.
2. Mechanical testing, characterization, modeling, and optimization for enhanced fatigue and impact resistance

🔹 IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT
✅ Candidates MUST have an ENGINEERING degree (Chemical, Materials, Environmental, or related fields). This is a strict requirement. Candidates with SCIENCE (chemistry, electrochemistry, physics, pharmacy, etc.) degrees will NOT be considered.

💡 Ideal Candidates Should Have:
✔️ Strong academic background in engineering disciplines related to chemical/materials, electrochemical, and mechanical research.
✔️ Experience in numerical modeling.
✔️ A passion for research, innovation, and sustainability.
✔️ Having more than one Q1 Scopus-indexed publication and an Active English Fluency Test (IELTS = 6.5, TOEFL = 95).
