His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba K Yusuf , last night terminated the affiliations of all 26 entrepreneurship institutions in Kano State with Yusuf Maitama Sule University and Aliko Dangote University. The institutes are journalism, horticulture, poultry, driving, reformatory, hospitality and tourism, animal husbandry, sports, informatics, and Corporate Security, among others. The institutions will now be coordinated directly by His Excellency through an inaugurated five-man Strategic and Implementation Committee.
Members of the committee include:-
1. The State Statistician General, Dr. Aliyu Isa Aliyu
2.The Director General of the State Debt Management Office, Dr. Hamisu Sadi Ali
3. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital and Creative Economy, Dr. Bashir Abdu Muzakkari
4. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Human Resources, Dr. Ibrahim G. Muhammad
5. The Secretary to the State IGR Enhancement Committee, Dr. Ismail Danmaraya
The schools management will henceforth report directly to His Excellency through the committee. It is expected that the committee will ensure the full implementation and operational readiness of these institutions in the next few weeks. This is in line with His Excellency's agenda for development of education and his empowerment programs to reduce poverty in the state.
