*AHUG FC Earn Vital Points After Tight Encounter.*

By Salisu Musa Jegus

AHUG FC secured three valuable points after a hard-fought 2–1 victory over comeback specialists Sauna Emirate FC in the opening match of Week Three of the Tofa Premier League at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.

The encounter was fiercely contested, with both sides showing determination from the opening minutes. AHUG FC, one of the debutants in the Tofa Premier League, took control of the game and established a two-goal advantage.

However, Sauna Emirate FC refused to give up and mounted pressure in the second half. Their persistence eventually paid off as they pulled a goal back to reduce the deficit to 2–1, setting up a tense finish.

Despite the late pressure from the Sauna-based side, AHUG FC remained composed and defended their advantage until the final whistle to claim maximum points.

Speaking to Jegus Online TV shortly after the match, AHUG FC coach expressed his happiness with the narrow victory while acknowledging the quality and fighting spirit of their opponents.

“This Emirate FC are too difficult to handle,” the AHUG FC coach said.
The victory gives AHUG FC a vital boost as they continue their campaign in the Tofa Premier League, while Sauna Emirate FC will look to bounce back in their next fixture.

The result also highlights the competitive nature of the league, with the debutants proving that they can compete against more experienced sides.
