You wonder why superstores are asking you to buy plastic bags( nylon) for your groceries. They are teaching and enforcing the culture of "Reuse." It's a deliberate act to impose waste management culture that we lack as Nigerians. Anyway, the ones you trashed have been reused to Earrings.

Now they are well informed in the act and art of upcycling... they can now turn their plastic bags to Earrings and other ornaments. The skills have been taught, but creativity is in their hands. Why not get creative with your wastes too.

So don't loud it, if you don't tell it to anyone that those earrings are from your blue and black nylon, who go know?

Dem say everything is packaging, true but I say everything na creativity!!, get creative with your waste!! And who says it's not sellable, which century are you living in?

When I taught plastic bottle chairs, they were skeptical they could sit on it, Hence the expression "Wawu", who knew good things could come out of pet bottles( Coca-Cola, Fanta, Pepsi, etc bottles). Those pet bottles became the small chair ( apoti) you are seeing..atleast it will serve you in your kitchen when you are turning that Amala. After taking the content, you throw the container away especially on the road, as a waste evangelist, Repent for the kingdom of a clean environment is at hand!!

Wrong practices on waste disposal are a dire challenge in our society.

Creating an awareness of how harmful burning and wrong disposal of what we call "waste" is to the environment

Why not reuse instead of dispose.... When you reuse, you create wealth and infact get a better quality material.

Grateful. Transformed. Empowered.

I just completed the SheSustains Accelerator Program hosted by the incredible team , a program designed for women led businesses and entrepreneurs driving impact in climate change, clean energy, circular and green economies.

Over the course of 15 powerful modules, I had the privilege of learning directly from industry experts, visionary founders, and experienced coaches. It wasn’t just theory, it was deeply practical, impactful, and transformative.
