There will come a point in your life when confidence will do wonders for you.
If you don't have confidence in yourself, your life, the way God made you, your steps, even when you don't completely know yourself or where you are headed, start asking God for confidence now.
Because trying every day to reach your dreams, especially when you have village people, known sabotagers, unknown sabotagers, doubters, critics, or even people who secretly don't want to see you rise, can drain you.
It can tire you out.
It can make you wonder and think “Why my own con tough like this?”
But I tell you, confidence in God, confidence in your dreams, confidence in your life, confidence in your knowledge and confidence in your talents, even when those talents seem little, will carry you a very long way.
Be careful because some people will help you and, at the same time, slowly destroy your confidence just so they can own you.
Some will make you believe that without them, you cannot stand.
Some want to be the reason you are solid, so they can always remind you of what they did for you.
And some people will deliberately target your confidence because they know that once you stop believing in yourself, they don't have to fight you anymore.
You will defeat yourself for them.
Don't let that happen.
You may not know everything yet.
You may not have everything yet.
You may still be figuring yourself out.
You may even be walking toward a dream without knowing exactly how you will get there.
But keep believing.
Believe in the God who created you.
Believe that there is something in you worth developing.
Believe that your little knowledge can grow.
Believe that your small talent can become something powerful.
Believe that your journey doesn't have to look like somebody else's.
And when people try to make you doubt yourself, don't hand them your confidence.
Guard it.
Because when your confidence is rooted in God, opposition may frustrate you, delay you, exhaust you and make you cry—but it cannot easily convince you to abandon yourself.
Even those who came against you will eventually get tired when they discover that after everything they have done, you are still standing, still believing, still learning, still growing and still moving.
So ask God for confidence.
Not arrogance.
Not pride.
Confidence.
The kind that says:
“I may not know everything, but I know God is with me.”
“I may not see the whole road, but I will take the next step.”
“I may be small today, but I am not insignificant.”
“I may be tired, but I am not finished.”
And most importantly:
“I will not abandon myself just because somebody else refuses to believe in me.”
Keep your confidence.
Sometimes, it will be one of the greatest weapons God uses to keep you moving.
