Adeyemi FC Set August 19 for U-15 Trial, Opens Doors for Young Talents

Adeyemi Football Club of Ibadan has announced Wednesday, August 19, 2026, as the commencement date for a week-long U-15 trial programme aimed at discovering and developing talented young footballers.

The trial is open to mature, skilled and promising players under the age of 15 from Oyo State and beyond. The exercise will take place daily from 8:00 a.m. at the Odogbo Barracks Stadium, Ojoo, Ibadan.

Head Coach of Adeyemi FC, Kolawole Emmanuel, popularly known as “Coach Drey,” described the exercise as a golden opportunity for young footballers looking to take their careers to the next level.

“This is another breakthrough opportunity for young and mature players who are ready to take their careers to another level, including pursuing opportunities in Europe. The future begins now.

“Every talented footballer who participates in this trial will be assessed and selected strictly on merit. There will be no room for unprofessional behaviour during or after the exercise,” Coach Drey said.

He added that the club expects the programme to produce future stars, while urging coaches, football managers and parents to encourage talented youngsters to participate.

“Another set of future stars will be discovered during this exercise. We call on coaches, football managers and parents to ensure that their skilful and talented players are part of this programme,” he added.

Coach Drey also commended the club’s President, Mogaji Abiodun Adeyemi, for his continued support and commitment towards the growth and development of the team.

He said the President’s backing has continued to provide the platform needed for young players to develop their talents and pursue their football dreams.

The U-15 trial is expected to attract promising young footballers from different parts of Oyo State and beyond, with Adeyemi FC looking to identify players capable of becoming the next generation of football stars.
