We'll be ready, prepare for Inter Lagos Clash this weekend - Abia Comets Coach Okechukwu Ejeh implies

Abia Comets FC head coach, Okechukwu Ejeh, has revealed that the team will be ready and prepared for this weekend's southern conference A Matchday 6 encounter against, Lagos based club, Inter Lagos, on Saturday, January 18,2025.

The clash which will take place at the Umuahia Township Stadium, will saw the southern conference A table toppers moves five points clear of second placed Warri Wolves, if they secure a win against the Lagos based side on Saturday.

While speaking shortly after their Matchday 5 away victory at Ijele FC last Saturday, Ejeh implied that the team will try to get the job done with a good performance.

" Yes, we'll be ready and prepared for the clash against Inter Lagos this weekend, " Ejeh said

" But the Boys knows what is at stake, so I have the confidence that we are going to put up a good performance which will give us a good chance of securing the maximum points."

Abia Comets FC are currently leading the Southern Conference A standings on 11 points from five games.

Lamine Yamal and Fermín Lopez are officially in Spain’s Euro 2024 squad. Pau Cubarsí has been dropped out last minute.

Honestly so proud of Fermín, what a story he’s had. Unknown to most before last preseason, suddenly he’s developed into one of Barca’s best players and now even making it into the Spanish national team to the biggest tournament of the year.

Pau Cubarsi is only 16, so he’s got time. We will see him a lot in the national team in the future, now he will probably be a part of their olympic team.

Lamine Yamal going into the Euro’s as one of Spain’s key players as a 16-year-old is something unbelievable, can’t wait to see what he can do!

Our future is bright and so is Spain’s, let’s hope for that Yamal and Fermín bring the trophy home!🇪🇸

A shameful and embarrassing incident unfolded at the main gate leading to the main bowl of the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium - the home ground of Rivers United.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝? The players and officials of Kwara United, after they arrived the facility for their last training session, were denied entry into the stadium by security personnel who claimed to have 'received orders from above' not to allow Kwara United access.

This situation escalated into a physical confrontation between the officials of Kwara United and a lone security guard, resulting in the Kwara United team bus forcefully entering the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

The security personnel was unable to prevent the visiting team's entry, as head coach Kabiru Dogo repeatedly questioned his reasons for denying them access to train at the main bowl ahead of their matchday three game on Sunday.

It's important to note that violence is not supported in the Nigeria Premier Football League, and for this reason, we choose not to share the video on our page.
