Gombe Athletics Academy won its first Gold medal in the Under 20 Youths category on the final day of the MTN championship.

The attention of athletics stakeholders in Nigeria during the Grand Prix finale "Making of Champions" had been on groomed youths, as Gombe set history on the tracks in the new stadium in Jos, Plateau State.

On the final day of the championship, Under 20 youths from Gombe Athletics Academy, Lamceh Danladi, secured the Gold medal in 800m. Dahiru Jibrin, Japtha Jacob, Iliya Gabriel, and Auwal Adamu clinched the silver medal in the 400 by 100m cadet relay, while Blessing Ehi-ikpa earned silver medals in two separate categories: 100m Hurdles and Long Jump in the under 20 girls junior division.

The performance exhibited by young Japtha Jacob, who secured the Bronze medal in the 100m cadet event, embellished the event.

The Gombe Athletics Academy has been recognized as one of the fastest athlete breeding institutions in northern Nigeria, marking a milestone in athletics activities in Gombe State.

As the final days of the MTN Championship approached, young champions were uncovered in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.

On the fourth day of the championship, Gombe Athletics Academy was declared one of the best and fastest athlete breeding institutions in northern Nigeria, while Fast Feets Athletic Academy ranked second from Plateau State.

The Rising Stars Academy proudly flew the flag of Gombe State once again, with a marvelous performance by Blessing Ehi-inpa, who won a silver medal in the Youth Female Long Jump, setting new records for the state.

On the second-to-last day, Lamceh Danladi qualified for the 800m Boys Youth finals, Blessing Ehi-inpa excelled in the 100m hurdles Youth Female category, and Aishatu Suleiman and Dahiru Yusuf made it to the finals in the 200m Cadets for girls and boys, respectively.

Meanwhile, the management, especially Director Prince Simon Ayuba, Secretary Haruna Isah Kalshingi, and Trainer Sani Nuhu, praised the athletes and expressed gratitude for Honorable Ahmed Shuibu Gara's initiatives in Gombe State.

The Making of Champions (MOC) attests that sometimes a formal visitation is necessary to ascertain the quality of athletes at the Gombe Athletics Academy.

The second Day of the MTN championship light Dream of the Athletes from Gombe have been fulfilled as trained Academy chap won silver wears.

Spectacular performance and glittery finishing was made by Gombe Athletics Academy,at the ongoing MTN championship 2024, at New National stadium,in plateau State Capital Jos,

Gombe State Athletics Academy Lamceh Danladi secure 400m finale first Bronze silver wears, youths , and another few scouted discovered during the Inter primary schools Athletic competition Japther Jacob won Bronze medal at 100m cadet boys.

It looks a very good omen for the young athletes to write in their history posited by the Director of the Academy Prince Simon Ayuba, adding that, injuries had disappointed the athletes,whom look impressive initially, Comfort Emila, Aishatu Suleiman races 400m Cadets girls, and Blessing Ehi-inpa 100m Youths boths simultaneously fished fourth positions.

The Bronzewarist, lamceh Danladi and Japther Jacob dedicated their victory to the sole sponsor Hon Ahmed Shuibu Gara and management of the Academy, urging sports passionate mind to came and assist them in different ways to explore their horizons, as Athletics is form of vocational skills around the globe.

However the Gombe Athletics Academy, were preparing for the third Day 200m boys and girls cadet and Youths, 4×100 boths mixed and ralay of the MTN championship talent Hunt in plateau State.
