Sparrow Hawks Basketball Club A basketball club for kids aged 5-15. We teach basketball basics and keep kids positively engaged. They will make them better in all aspects of their lives.

 Sparrow Hawks is a Basketball Club that aims to teach the game of basketball to children between the ages of 7 and 10. They also learn the importance of healthy diets, fitness training and body conditioning. With the proper coaching and fitness training, they can be integrated into teams of their various states and the national teams ultimately….

h basketball and its attendant benefits-teamwork, agility, gallantry, muscular strength, stamina, mental concentration, self belief, healthy living, speed etc. The Basketball culture also imparts a strong base that shows the advantages of a sound body and mind for a longer and more purposeful living.
 The club allows for a favourable environment when kids can be proper molded into model citizen through basketball which the Minister of Sports voted the 2nd most popular sport among Nigeria. Thus as they play they will also learn social values such as respect for each other, humility, unity, strength in diversity and tolerance for tribe, religion, varying social status.

Coaches sacrifice a lot- Early mornings; afternoons; late nights; parents' text messages; flak from critics; complaints. All these for kids that aren't actually theirs but whom they have taken to be theirs in word and in deed.🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀
Academies wants results -trophies not DEVELOPMENT,
Parents want the Glory BUT SHUN THE HARD WORK INVOLVED. and the most coaches get? Barely enough money to survive on salary. It is no wonder why good coaches quit. 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

FACT: Every team will face the agony of DEFEAT. Every player will feel anguish,consternation,anger,disappointment.

We will bow our heads in shame,holds our heads in our hands in confusion,look up to the skies is supplication to God seeking an answer,begging for a miracle.

But no miracle WILL COME because in sports,we forge our own path and make our own destiny. So when we lose,NO-ONE WILL COME TO SAVE US…

We must pick ourselves up,refocus our focus,re-energize our engines,Channel our efforts towards healing and try again MULTIPLES TIMES until we taste the waters of glory once again.

The coach and his staff must catalyze that rebirth and renew that belief and remind the players and ,indeed the fans, that the feat can be achieved. Because he,above all others,must believe that IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING.
