Dan Alkali Academy announces the appointment of Manu Rooney (Usman Abubakar Siddi) as our new Head Coach, effective July 31, 2025, following the departure of Babangida Bofting. Manu Rooney joins us on a 1-year contract with an option to extend.

We welcome Manu Rooney to the academy and look forward to achieving great things under his leadership.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with a mix of sadness and appreciation that we announce the departure of our esteemed Head Coach, Babangida Bofting, from Dan Alkali Academy. Coach Bofting has been an integral part of our team, and his dedication and expertise have been invaluable to our players and staff.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Coach Bofting has been transferred to Gombe as part of his work with his bank. This new opportunity requires his full attention, and unfortunately, he will no longer be able to continue in his role as Head Coach.

We are grateful for Coach Bofting's contributions to Dan Alkali Academy and appreciate the impact he has had on our team. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and hope that his new role brings him success and fulfillment.

The academy will continue to build on the foundations laid by Coach Bofting, and we are committed to finding a suitable replacement to lead our team forward.

Thank you, Coach Bofting, for your service and commitment to Dan Alkali Academy. We wish you well!
