My heart is heavy.😭😭😭😭
As an Award-Winning International Pageant & Pasarela Coach, Creative Director, and Talent Manager, I find it deeply painful to wake up almost every day to heartbreaking news of innocent Nigerians being killed, families displaced, children orphaned, and communities living in fear.
The recent wave of violence and insecurity across Nigeria, especially the disturbing incidents in Oyo State, is a painful reminder that human life is becoming increasingly vulnerable in a nation blessed with so much potential. Reports of attacks, abductions, and the loss of innocent lives have left many of us devastated and questioning when this cycle of bloodshed will finally end. (Al Jazeera)
Beyond the crowns, runways, and glamour, we are first human beings. We cannot continue to celebrate beauty while ignoring the tears of mothers who have lost their children, fathers who can no longer protect their families, and young people whose dreams have been cut short by violence.
Today, I lend my voice to every grieving family across Nigeria. I stand in solidarity with the people of Oyo State and every community affected by insecurity. No Nigerian should have to live in fear. No child should be afraid to go to school. No family should have to wonder if their loved ones will return home safely.
I call on our leaders, security agencies, community stakeholders, and every Nigerian to rise above politics, ethnicity, and religion and prioritize the protection of human lives. The value of a nation is measured by how well it protects its people.
May God comfort every family mourning a loved one, heal the wounded, protect the vulnerable, and restore peace to our land.
Nigeria must not become a nation where killings are normalized.
Enough is enough.
The recent attacks and school abductions reported in Oyo State have heightened concerns about insecurity spreading into areas previously considered safer.
