AWIC at TEW Capital

AWIC was pleased to participate in a recent gathering hosted by TEW Capital, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders and professionals for conversations around enterprise, capital and Africa's evolving economic landscape.

It was particularly encouraging to see such strong representation of women in the room.

More importantly, several conversations initiated during the gathering are already progressing into potential areas of collaboration, including opportunities that could benefit some of the women-led projects currently being supported through AWIC and The Matriarch Economy.

This is an important part of our work: not only identifying promising women-led enterprises, but continuously building the relationships, access and strategic connections that can help them move forward.

We appreciate TEW Capital for creating a valuable space for connection and exchange, and we look forward to building on the relationships established.

From how people move money to how businesses operate and farmers access opportunities, technology is creating new ways for people to participate, build and grow.

The bigger lesson for Africa is clear: we do not only need more ideas. We need to build systems that turn those ideas into economic value.

Her participation in the UK–Nigeria networking reception reflects a commitment to collaboration, dialogue, and good governance, values that drive lasting impact and stronger institutions.

AWIC believes that leadership is strengthened by vision, integrity, and service. That is why we are proud to support Hon. Ruqayya as she contests for the House of Representatives, Kafur Federal Constituency, Katsina.
